There are many approaches to overall wellness and optimum vitality.  One such approach is taking a holistic view of achieving balance of the mind and body. There are so many wonderful therapies and options available in the field of holistic and alternative therapies from which to choose.

It is important to address issues of the mind, as well as the body, as these have a direct impact on each other.  The mind is an incredible and powerful part of who we are. The mind can create and mis-create. There are people in the world that constantly create havoc in their lives through their thoughts. There are also people who unconsciously hold on to their illnesses too long, as this may be the only way to gain the attention that they crave – a behaviour known as secondary gain.

There are those that do not believe in any form of complementary, holistic or alternative therapies.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and point of view on this subject. From my own personal experience and use of various modalities in assisting people back to wellness, I have witnessed amazing transformations, particularly when the client was engaged in their own wellness goals.   Placing the responsibility of your health and wellness in your own hands and doing everything you can to be as healthy as possible is particularly important in midlife and beyond.
